Art, Architecture and Landscape Architecture
I received my Bachelor's degree in Architecture from UC Berkeley with a minor in Art. Because of this background, and my personal interest in the visual arts, I produced a lot of drawings, paintings and watercolors over the years. it also helped me become an expert in visual impacts analysis as part of an Environmental Impact Report (EIR). Since one of my two planning master's degrees was from the Landscape Architecture department at UC Berkeley, I also learned how to use watercolors as a method for capturing the essence of a site before starting the planning process.
